Vacuum

Vacuum systems: how to choose what you need?

A vacuum pump is a device that extracts air or gas to create a partial or complete vacuum in the system under consideration. The air is sucked out by a progressive decrease of the pressure in the confined space. The sucked in gas molecules are then evacuated into the ambient air.

Selection criteria for Vacuum systems:

  • Volumetric flow rate (CFM or L/sec or m³/h)
  • Vacuum level ( H2O, HgV, mbar)
  • Type of use (intermittent or continuous)
  • Location
  • Ambient air quality
  • Noise level
  • Maintenance
